Upcoming Free Agents

In the event Hayward walks and Otto Porter Jr's still on the market the Jazz should throw him an overbid offer.

He gets a max and it gets matched... Washington is not going to have any way to replace him if he leaves... will be close to the cap even if he leaves... not to rain on Cy's parade.

I just think it's gotta be done if it plays out that way.

If I'm Washington I'm not all that convinced that Maxxing Otto and Beal is gonna keep Wall around...

FWIW - I prefer Harrison Barnes last summer over Porter Jr this summer (posted that back in free agency)

They can give wall the DMC megamax in all likelihood he is staying there.

They are flat out stuck though... let porter walk and they have no way to replace him... it's the best use of their cap asset.

I mean letting him walk won't help them retain wall either so...

He gets maxed... book it.

Did we have enough money or cap last Summer to sign Barnes though?

I really wish we would set our sights higher one day. Do something that makes a real difference.

Trade for Gobert + others+ picks for Cousins after he signs his megamax extension.

We have our superstar, the rings will follow.

Yes, sarcasm.

There's a number of possible UDFA that could be interesting. Some of my favorite Seniors that might go undrafted are;

Peter Jok, Luke Kornet, Alec Peters, Wesley Iwundu, Jalen Moore, Malcolm Hill, Isaiah Hicks, Chris Boucher, Moses Kingsley, Davon Reed, Andrew White, Luke Fischer, Derrick White, Justin Tuoyo, Damonte Dodd, Steve Vasturia, Jabari Bird, Tyler Roberson, Derek Willis, Sindarius Thornwell, Troy Caupain and Jamel Artis.

despite all these players being seniors their ages vary from 21 to 24(Artis and Boucher)

There's a few interesting possible UDFA from the auto-eligible ('95 born) international pool too - 7'4" Youssoufa Fall, 7'5" Michael Fusek and 6'11" Illimane Diop (who's got a wingspan in the 7'7" range)

Yes, I was very upset at KOC for not going hard after Lebron. And Lindsey should be fired for not making Durant an offer he couldn't refuse. All Dennis did was trade for some lousy PG, strengthened the bench and have Utah currently 4 positions higher in the WC than they were last season. How many teams have done that? Houston, I guess.

Yeah, that 12th pick for George Hill didn't make a difference at all. Should be able to trade for Anthony Davis pretty easily. Throw in a couple 2nds if you have to. That would be a good tarde.

If we don't sign Hill again, I'd like to pursue Ricky Rubio.

Way better to just bring back Hill. George is going to get paid, but it shouldn't be outside of Utah's price range due to the time missed for injuries. If they want Rubio, they can save some cash and bring in Teodosic for a bench role to replace Mack or Neto.

I get your thinking, but Rubio is proven at th NBA level, and while not a good shooter, is a very good offensive player and a good defender. Look at how Minnesota does when LaVine is out and Rubio is given more responsibility. Rubio > Teodosic, but you have to evaluate whether what you give up for him is worth it. Teodosic will be a FA, so it's easier. But I was thinking Rubio to replace Hill, only if Hill leaves, if Hill stays, no reason to pursue him.

In your scenario, we have Exum, Teo, Mack, Neto...that's a big pile of meh.
