utah #2 in blocks

its because we dont do any perimeter defense at all. For example in wizard Javale McGee, he doesnt play any defense, just chase after blocks all game

We never have done perimeter defense, but we also have never been 2nd in the league in blocks before either (as far as I can remember...maybe back in the Mark Eaton days). I think this is a step in the right direction and actually a very good stat for us. One bright spot this season imo.
 
Love the ability Favors and Jefferson have shown at blocking shots, but blocked shots don't necessarily equal interior defense.

Consider in 2009-10 the Jazz gave up 39.5 paint points per game, had a positive rebounding margin and their opponents shot 28 FT's per game.
This year, they gave up 39.7 paint points, had a negative rebounding margin and again their opponents shot 28 FT's per game.

All JazzFanz has clamored for the past few years is a shot blocking center and then a championship was a sure thing. Oh how things have changed.
