6'8" Roy High Senior Brekkot Chapman has just verbally committed to Utah. Nice get for Utah, especially considering BYU and UCLA were also in his final 3. He's still currently climbing all of the Top 100 recruiting lists and making a name for himself in AAU ball. When Krysko was hired there were grumblings that he may not be the strongest recruiter. Kudos to him for being able to land guys like Chapman and Loveridge.

Hopefully things keep trending up.

Yep. I'm pulling for you guys to get back to making the tourney. Seems like forever since we have crushed your dreams there.

I can't wait for when Cal bolts before the investigations begin.

Nope. Squeeky clean. Keep hatin' though... it's what I missed most during the last of the Tubby Smith years.. no hate. It was depressing.

I'm not surprised that things look squeaky clean from your perspective.

We'll see. That's all either of us can say.

Cal has earned his rep as a dirtbag. If he's turned it around, then good for him.

What is he? A SF or PF? He doesn't scream top 100 to me based on this video, but he does have some nice tools. He seems quite like Loveridge actually....if he was anorexic.

I must admit I do like seeing these high level guys stay in-state regardless of where they end up. I think C.J. Wilcox is the last big-time player from here to go elsewhere on the basketball front. Utah HS talent level is rising - let's keep it here.

It's called the Mark Cuban method.

lol.

Precisely.

You can have this punk *** kid. He's about 100 lbs underweight. Can't wait to waste you guys in a few months, lil brother.

I'm gonna dump Diet Caffeine Free Pepsi all over Wilson's live-in GF and mommy (since the dad is probably in prison or something).

Lol, he's a punk-*** because he didn't choose BYU? He probably noticed how Dave Rose just turned Brandon Davies from a possible late 1st round pick into an undrafted free agent. The kid will add some weight and be just fine while being coached by a former NBA big man. He made the right choice.

Of course he's a punk *** for choosing U.

Had he chosen the right school he would be the next Brandon Davies.

I just wonder how the PAC-12 vs High School Conference is effecting recruits. BYU got Lone Peak. Which is nice. But i wonder in time if this will take its toll? BYU has done well recruiting and scheduling as an Independent. But I'm not sure if this will work out long-term playing in basketball gyms of 2,000 against teams that most of us have never heard about. Even I can literally only name 2 other teams in their conference St Mary's and Gonzaga.

Is it really that hard to recruit over BYU?

I mean, you just have to be like "Dude you can't have sex there.".
