The Utah Jazz finished the 2014-15 season first in opponent points allowed with 94.9 per game. The Jazz also led the league in opponent points allowed after the All-Star break at 89.0 per game. Utah held opponents to fewer than 90 points 27 times this season, the most in the NBA.

Utah held seven opponents to fewer than 80 points, which is also the most in the NBA (per Elias Sports Bureau). The Jazz finished with a 19-10 (.655) record after the All-Star break, the sixth-best win percentage in the NBA in that span.

Where did we end up defensively in the NBA, with two weeks left in the season we were at 13th.

Biggest reason for that is they played at the slowest pace in the league.

Kind of a lazy argument. Did the jazz play with a slow pace? Yes. Was that slowness a variable in number of points we allowed? Yes. Was it the "biggest reason"? Well, that requires more argumentation.

Although the Jazz played at a slow pace they still played great defense. Pretty sure I read somewhere that the Jazz had the best points per possession post all star break
