Utah Jazz at Dallas Maverix Game Thread

Seriously though, no one wants to talk about this, but maybe Trey Burke is actually being defended now? Maybe this isn't just "the rookie wall"? Maybe it's actually teams paying attention to him instead of letting him run free for 2-3 weeks?

What happened? Hayward does nothing for literally 3 quarters.
Burke plays like he has for 2 weeks. Kanter didn't play hardly at all. Favors looked like a guy who hadn't played in 2 weeks. Alec was off. And that's about it.

Poor defense.

Even worse offense. It's like painful to watch our offense. We don't even attempt to run one. We keep shooting 3s. No flow, few picks, no one other than Alec even attempts to attack the rim....

We are purely a jump shooting team. We play like the warriors but don't have the shooters. To me, it's a symptom of lazy players taking the easy road and a coach that simply cannot coach. He doesn't have the strategy nor the will to enforce his offensive system. Just look at Pop, it takes a smart and disciplined coach to teach and force his team to execute the offense.

Instead, it's just so much easier to pass the ball once or twice around the perimeter and chuck up a 3.

This game is a great example of Corbin's ineptitude. Yes - we played a team who's playing hot, but Corbin makes awful substitutions and we look lethargic on defense.

I will be shocked if Corbin isn't fired at the end of this season. I know some of you will disagree, and I can see why, but there's no rationality behind keeping the guy.
