Well the Jazz hung tough but when you don't show up for the first quarter on the road usually a team can't recover. Our guard play is horrible right now. Exum looks like he is a couple years away from being a steady NBA player. Kid needs to get in the gym and bulk up and then visit Stockton for the summer learning the right way to play. Overall, a moral victory consider how poorly the Jazz usually play in Dallas but nevertheless still a loss. Oh well...

That is why teams with little NBA experience don't rack up a lot of wins. I'd swear Dirk and Harris together have more NBA experience than our entire squad. This is why the perpetual rebuild is a bad idea. At some point you have to stop adding rookies and add experience, preferably playoff experience. For all of the slobbering about Oklahoma, they really haven't done much because eventually their talent loses to teams with better experience.

Lol, so tanking for 2 years is a perpetual rebuild? Let's also not forget that draft picks can be traded for experience, and the more valuable the pick, the better the return in trade.

Is it better to go for two there or to call time out and go for a tie? I don't know the stats, but I'm not sure I trust the Jazz to play the foul game correctly. I'd rather have a full chance at a hail mary 3 for overtime.

Stats say 3 for sure. Drives me nuts.

Tonight was a perfect example of how much the Jazz need a point guard so they can close out games. Now with Kanter on the block, I hope they can package him and Trey for something good. Trey, to me, is a real detriment to the team. He made several bonehead plays that contributed strongly to losing this game. Yeah, so he made some shots. He made key turnovers and couldn't guard Barea -- no excuse him being too small in this case.

I saw more of a need for another wing who can shoot/score. How many times did Millsap get wide open corner looks only to drive unsuccessfully?

He's been playing a bit like Alec from those corner spots. He gets a wide open look, but he doesn't like it and goes baseline... with even worse success than Alec.

At least that's something he can work on. Become a bit better from the corner and he'd be a nice player. Although he is lacking offensively, I ****ing love watching our D when the occasional Exum, Millsap, Gobert, Favors, Hayward lineup is in. Incredible.

A bit of a speed burst from Dante:

Too bad we are not seeing it much with ball in his hands...

But we are consistently seeing it from him on the defensive end. He has all summer to work on his handles and bulk up some. If he can improve those two things significantly, we will be in good shape.
