"All signs point to the Jazz drafting a point guard, but of course, anything can happen on draft day. The Jazz could move up or down in the draft, or a non-point guard could slide to us, causing Jazz management to go “the best player available” route. Overall, nice write-ups but I disagree with your conclusion on the #14 pick. No signs point to the Jazz drafting a PG. In fact, KOC and Lindsey have stated on more than one occasion that BPA WILL be the strategy.
 
Many thanks. I'm excited to see what happens. If we don't draft a PG I'll be pretty surprised, though a lot depends on what happens 1-13.
 
I'd still like to see us move up. It probably gives us slightly less total potential value out of our picks, but turning 14 + 21 into McCollum or Burke would be nice.

Don't see it happening at #14, but a trade could change that. You're a good writer, unlike some of the yahoos that get posted on Yahoo Sports. Keep up the good work.
 
Thank you. I appreciate your kind words. And I agree - if we could land Burke I would be joyful - it would be beyond wonderful because he's a clutch leader who can do what the position demands. Anything can happen. Though we have the potential to draft a good player or two. If Carter-Williams is available I'd be super happy. With a good draft and good free agency, we have the potential to be a top-four team in the West next year. We have a lot to improve on, but we have some good pieces in place.
