Utah Jazz Future Plans

I'm curious in what you guys want the Jazz management to do?

For me, I want the Jazz to trade Jefferson for if we are lucky a lotto pick and maybe a young developing player. Then the Jazz draft Drummond with our pick, Wroten with the GS Pick and Gilchrist with the traded pick. Then we don't resign Miles or Howard.

We have a future lineup in 2012-2013 of

Wroten/Harris/Watson/Tinsley
Burks/Gilchrist/Bell
Hayward/Gilchrist/Evans
Favors/Millsap
Drummond/Kanter/Veteran Free Agent

Thats a lineup full of potential, we have some good leadership veterans like Millsap, Tinsley and Watson. Unless we trade Bell, Bell adds some leadership and toughness but he shouldn't play more than 5 mins a game.

The Jazz plan is to have MAJOR cap room in two years. If they can trade Jefferson and Harris, they expedite it one year. If not, they could offer Curry the max, if he doesn't sign and extension beforehand. Can offer a big chunk to Ty Lawson. More likely to absorb a contract from a high paying team. Keep in mind that the more punitive CBA will be in full effect for the 13-14 season, so teams will likely have to unload some contracts for pennies on the dollar. O'Connor is definitely going to keep that plan, unless it's for a star player (or two).

IMO before we start thinking about drafting new players, we should figure out how to get the best out of the players we currently have to develop, i.e., Favors, Hayward, Kanter, Evans, Burks.

Get these guys playing at 85% of their potential this season and I believe we're a playoff team.
