What's new

Utah Jazz @ Indiana Pacers 2/24 5:30PM MST

That was terrific. I might have even felt okay had they lost. I'm actually excited to watch the Detroit game tomorrow. Just keep giving effort, that's all I ask.

I would like to see Favors get some touches on the block because I do think he has some ability there, but I'm sure that will come with time.

The Pacers are one of hte worst rebounding teams in the league, so dont get too excited. They have no PF's and slow C's who arent rebound minded.

Please delete your account. It's you that has been pwned, Mr. Rex.

Jazz had a block party in that 1st quarter. I agree completely with Harpring; it was the best the Jazz has played defense this season. But what in the F is Elson doing? He singlehandedly kept the Pacers in the game. Now that we have Favors, just waive him. Derrick is the future; he needs to get 20+ mins/per. Elson needs to retire and head back to the Netherlands.

Very encouraged by the game Harris had, although Collison blew by him a couple of times. If the Jazz can just keep going inside...sometimes the team gets a "CJ-mentality" and just fires up jumpers. Just hope Favors' development is as impressive as Hibbert's. He was pretty good in the 1st quarter for Indiana. Jazz did a better job on him the 2nd half. Ty is not afraid to double the best opposing players; I like that change. But Jazz clearly still need a wing that can shoot - CJ, Raja and Hayward were terrible (well, outside of that drive and dunk by Hayward).

Can't believe how well Harris played for someone who clearly knows little about the Jazz system. It never felt like he had a plan on any of the offensive possessions, and yet, he was able to create something almost every time. Another thing I noticed was that everyone was playing with energy. I think that's directly linked to D-Will's absence. Don't get me wrong, Williams is an amazing player. But he often walks down the court, and expects to have complete control over the flow of the game. It is fine when he's playing well, but when he's not, the team stagnates and loses.

Favors looked good. He's young and, perhaps, unexceptional. But he doesn't look nearly as goofy as Fes, he plays smart, and he plays hard.

If the Jazz manage to add a quality wing, this team can be special.

We need Hayward to grow up fast. He has the makings of a good wing with 15 pounds of muscle.

CJ Miles is a homeless man's J.R. Smith at this point. What the hell happened to him? He actually played well last year's playoffs. He's regressed massively since then.

His stats are something special, don't think I've ever seen anything like this before:

07-08 .479 FG% .390 3pt%
08-08 .459 FG% .352 3pt%
09-10 .429 FG% .341 3pt%
10-11 .407 FG% .332 3pt%

This is like what happens when you give someone an F potential on NBA 2k11.

Call up the mathmeticians. That's an example of a perfect regression model; those are rare, indeed.

One thing I noticed is the Jazz looked relaxed and loose.

Chemistry seemed really good, especially for having 2 new guys.

Chemistry matters, it showed tonite.

High fives and smiles all around, everyone jumping up and down. Chemistry does matter. I'm looking forward to the rest of teh season although boston on monday could be ugly....

I'm trying to temper my excitement after this win, but it's hard. The Pacers are pathetic. If anything this is great for confidence because we aren't close to a finished product. Can't wait until Devo gets comfortable with the offense and his teammates.

Lets shock the f-ing world!!! Go Jazz!!!
