What's new

Utah Jazz @ LA Lakers Tues Oct 6th

Also thought Pleiss getting benched for Withey interesting. It was clearly because Pleiss wasnt playing well and seemed to be getting overwhelmed (and the whole still not knowing about basket interference).

So you think playing with a different rule for like 10 years doesn't have an impact on your habits? Especially when other than travelling it's not a situation that happens in every possession but only in a couple per game?

Uhhh, when did I say that?

That first quarter was super fun to watch. The steal, pass to Hayward who dribbled around the defender and then made the assist to Gobert who made a behind the back dunk was awesome. Sort of sad that play happened during preseason to be honest. That **** was fun!

Glad the bench and our long injured starter were able to beat the lakers, but it wasn't as fun to watch.

Nah, I really think he just needs to get a little bit stronger and use to the NBA game.

It took Ingles 4 months to learn how to shoot NBA 3 pointers, it's going to take Pleiss sometime to adjust too.

I have no problems if I am proven wrong. In fact, I hope I am proven wrong.

Do the Lakers even have a player who is as good as our best 3? It's not like they have anyone worth resting other than Kobe, everyone else needs practice. They did however go without Russell for most of the game and Kobe was restricted (though less than the 1st game). If you add all the starters minutes up on each side, the Lakers only played their starters 4 more minutes (if my math is right, Im tired as ish).

Adding up the minutes from the starters for THIS game on each side is silly, because Booker isn't a regular season starter.

Our regular season starters played 88.5 minutes, with only 24 combined from our 3 best players. Theirs played 111, and probably would've been a lot more if Russell hadn't gotten injured. If you would have told me this was going to be the minute distribution prior to the game, I would've thought for sure this would've been a blowout.

Sill the best Jazz preseason play of all time.

from the Lakers message board:

"I hate Burks face. He looks like Mase"

"Utah's coach aka one of our former assistants who is more in touch with the modern game than Byron."

"I really, really like Rodney Hood."

"Alec Burks is pretty good. I'm going pick him up in fantasy."

"Hood is playing well for Utah. He was one of the few guys I like from Randle's draft class."

"Utah's coach is actually coaching his guys this makes me jealous"

"Burke on fiyah"

"Look at the consistency of the jazz. You know who they will play and what they will do, very organized.
The Lakers look opposite"

"I really like Raul Neto"

"fml season over, someone start a draft thread"
