It was good to see Lyles, Burks and Hood, all making their FTs down the stretch.
Yep.
My expectations for lyles are really low.... I hated that pick.
Having said that I like him and if he can be a good shooter then I think he will prove me wrong since he is a skilled ball handler and passer for his size/position/age.
If he contributes much this year then it's just icing on the cake.
The situation were "intentionally foul when ahead" is actually a good strategy is essentially a corner case. It requires you to be up by a very specific number of points in a very specific short-clock situation. This is an instance where adding additional layers of rules probably creates more confusion than its worth. I'm also not 100% against forcing players to be able to hit free throws as a real skill. I think this was a substantial percentage of Chauncey Billups' late game value during his career.
