What's new

Utah Jazz Media Day!

Never saw that coming. Not that I don't like it, but can a guy who never gets more than 5 minutes a game be an effective leader?

Yeah, I don't really buy it. I think he can be a positive person in the locker room, and sometimes a motivator....but a true LEADER?
I just don't see it.

I didn't percieve it as Lindsey declaring Jeremy as the leader of the pack, or top dog. Jeremy probably isn't the person for that, but leadership is not just about being number one. Jeremy can be a leader among the end of the bench crowd, keeping them in line and helping them to follow the lead of Hayward or Favors.

That helps the leaders feel more secure and lightens their load, while giving Jeremy a goal and sense of importance. It seems like a small thing but as we learned yesterday from one of the Jazz Mangement folks...the Jazz believe that small things add up to big things. It was mentioned a couple of times so I kind of figured that it was thier new motto of sorts.

Exactly. Every Alpha male needs a couple good beta males.
