What's new

Utah Jazz @ Miami Heat - 11/12/15 - 5:30pm ROOT

In all honesty, with Hood's shot nowhere to be found, and the way he forces the issue, he's been reminiscent of CJ Miles.

I'm impressed how easily Burks is knocking down 3-pointers lately.

He can't sustain this efficiency from 3, but 40% on the year might actually be a possibility for him--something no one expected he would ever do when he was drafted.

Ok Cy, it's obvious that you think that Hayward is the best player in our team. What do you think is our ceiling with this being the case? Serious question.

I think our team lacks a clear cut best player (though I do think Hayward is our most well rounded player), which is our strength and something that should be lauded. The key is getting everyone to perform consistently for a game off of each other. It will happen. The complaints about "so and so should have taken the shot since so and so missed it" are ridiculous. Our team needs to function as one and whoever has the shot takes it.

Burks should start over Hood though. That has to happen. Burks/Hayward need to build chemistry.

That's cool, now answer my question if you may.

Even if he were a rookie (he's not), that doesn't mean his play hasn't be CJ-esque.

Tonight he scored 10 points on 14 FGA.

4/14 FG, 1/5 from 3, 1/2 from FT

I wouldn't call it CJ-esque. Maybe from a pure stat sheet view, but he just playing a very inefficient style that relies heavily on his mid range game and on push shots in the paint.

I have the sensation Hayward wants to play hero ball down the stretch. Jazz have to play team basketball at the end of the games too.

Our ceiling is championship. A top 10 defense and top 10 offense is what you need to be a championship team and we can get there. The rest is just luck and getting hot at the right time and having good matchups in the playoffs.
