The correlation between lifting weights and shooting consistency would actually be a really interesting Sloan conference article or something.

I swear there is a lot to it.

I know there are the exceptions like Karl Malone, but just look at who the good shooters are like Steph Curry and who the bad or at least iffy shooters are. The bulky guys almost always seem to have a harder time.

I also know from experience. I felt like I did the exact same thing. When my arms got bigger, my shot got worse. Quit lifting weights it got a lot better.

I know there is something to it. You don't want huge arms for basketball.

There is something to decreased or changed ranged of motion in joints. Poor lifting programs for BB players will lead to this. A decent one will allow the range of motion to stay the same and an increase in strength, which leads to improved play in many ways.
