Utah Jazz sign second-round pick Joel Bolomboy

*Teague is not better than Hill when you consider the complete game (both sides of the ball). Hill's offense is underrated.

*It is highly conceivable that we could have had Teague. But, his former coach (Quin) wanted Hill.

All of this.

Let's hear your prediction then. 50 wine? Let's just say 50 is the over/under. Either way nothing we added is doing anything to push is into the next tier let alone into contention. Mediocrity yet again. I'd rather hear we shot for something to really change the game and missed than to add 3 players on the edge of being washed up and calling it a "success". Danny Ainge had a similar decision to make a few years back and took a chance and ended up with the ring when he could have ended up with egg on his face. We would rather just have nicely powdered noses and talk about how exciting it's going to be to squeak into the 8th seed maybe, after a season of "we could be 1-4" delusion of course.

er, so you couldnt name 5 teams I see.

I'd be ****ing furious if we chose Teague instead of Hill. Eww.

I like Bolomboy a lot. The Jazz just need to be patient. He's very raw, but has some tools for coach Q to work with. He should spend time in the DLeague this year and maybe next.

As for the hill vs Teague debate. I don't think anyone is saying hill is better, though I'm not sure Teague is better either. But, Hill better fits the makeup of our team. Both Hayward and hood need the ball and generally set up and run the offense. Hill is better playing off the ball and is very good defensively. Also, hill has more versatility, being able to switch from the 1 or 2, and is a better shooter and Hill allows for Exum to get more time. Think he will be much improved. If Exum surprises this year, it's a much smoother transition to move Hill to the bench. I'm not sure Teague would except that kind of role change.

I don't see what people see in Teague that makes him so special. Dude over achieved a couple years ago, but showed who he truly was last year. He's average. Dime a dozen. Decent pg skills with limited defense. Hill brings more to the table, above average shooter and defender, can start or come off the bench, play off the ball, and multiple positions.

Teague might be the better player on Indiana, but Hill is probably the better player on the Jazz.

God the trolls on this board are so damn annoying

How may late round picks really work out? Not much so Yes we do know most of the time what these late draft picks are. Sometimes you get lucky but most of the time not. Go look a the facts that back that statement up

Lol yup I totally said there's a 100% chance he turns into Paul Millsap. Smh man. I don't expect anything out of him other than a better chance of turning into a role player than Pliess, and even then, chances are better than not he doesn't even turn into a role player.

Teague could very well be better than hill. I think he is, even. But when you consider the system the Jazz run, only a couple players could fit the PG position better than hill. A slow paced offensive guy that plays really good D, and does well picking passing lanes.

Ok super NBA pro, pull out the stats and tell me the exact number of wins we will have next season based on our new additions. What is our offensive and defensive efficiency and such going to be? And where will the miller's display the championship trophy?

I for one am tired of constant mediocrity. Unfortunately to break out of it we need to either bomb so hard we get a top 3 pick or we have to try for some big moves in the offseason. But what I see coming is another pick in the low to mid teens. So break out your god-like basketball knowledge and predict the future for us with our new guaranteed all-stars.

Or STFU and GTFO.

Lol.

If you read the board or been on twitter for the past month you would know every NBA media figurehead has praised the Jazz off-season as being the second best, only behind the Warriors getting KD. There have been plenty of stats posted that back that up. I'm not going to fish through everything that has been said to appease someone who has already made up their mind on the topic.

I will absolutely say that Hill is the better player. Defense matters.

Nor did the Hawks because they have a guy in Schröder who's sort of plateaued and nothing special.

Hill is better.
