Utah Jazz Summer League Topic

Lyles has really fallen off after that hot start. Giving half effort on defense too.

Yeah, I shut the game soon after this became apparent - Lyles looked like he was going at about 3 quarters speed after he came back in the game after starting off hot.

Hanlan looked so MUCH better than last year.

Pleiss has to be the shortest 7'3" player I've ever seen. He doesn't scare anyone on defense.

Bolomby looked super amped - back rimming everything just like Lyles did last Summer League. He'll calm down. Enjoyed the half-time bio on him - seems like a genuinely nice kid.

Otherwise meh, boring game, boring players....funny Aaron Craft was once on the cover of Sports Illustrated. The fact that he's trying to make a roster with eleven point guards already seems futile - maybe someone will notice him but he'll have to start playing like he belongs in the NBA.

That's true...

Here's my $.02. Lyles got started well and then fizzled. 2nd half he did not look interested in playing D. Pleiss looks like a scrawny Euro. Can Tomic still come over? Hanlan surprised me. He looked so bad last summer. He might have been our best player on the floor overall. I think Bolomboy does not make the final roster. Paige and Wallace will make good Salt Lake Stars. Aaron Craft is not an NBA player but hustles.

Has any team that played in more than 1 SL event gone O-fer the summerleague curcuit? I think this team has that kind of potential.

Tibor didn't challenge one shot in the first half... second half he finally stepped up. He can shoot a little and that's nice, but he has to be a positive on defense under the basket or he's useless.

I like Withey better than Pleiss. Jazz have a lot of bodies now. I'm interested in seeing how it all shakes out now that they added Diaw on a one year rental.

I think Lyles wants to show his passing skills, but no one else shoots well enough to space the floor or justify getting a pass.
