Haha.. did you have court side seats?
Yeah, a lot easier to get those in summer league

Another guy who really jumped out to me at Vegas (that didnt on TV as much) is Jared Cunningham #74. I think he's played his way into the league.
I noticed Cunningham during the Salt Lake summer league and first couple of Vegas games, too. O'Brien also came on late, IMO. Just don't have as many of those end of roster spots like the Jazz have had in the past. Ingles and Millsap claimed a couple. It would take a really impressive performance in SL and training camp to push Elijah off the roster. I think Cotton is a given, too. So it really comes down to Cooley, Jerrett, Johnson and anyone else for the last roster spot. The odds aren't good.
If Cunningham could pass the ball better or defend better, then he would already be in the league. For all his athletic ability to he isn't a very good defender.

he also got a little flustered with Cooley who kept yelling "channel channel channel" too soon on the defensive sets. He finally started telling him "too soon man, c'mon!"
Cotton is shooting 35% in SL!!! THIRTY FIVE PERCENT! In Summer League! Lets stop acting like he's some can't miss talent! And to add to it - he was destroyed on D by all NBA-level PGs he faced. Russell, Rozier, Clarkson, Smart all had their way with him. He can't fight through screens, he gets stuck and opponents are left all alone in the mid-range with variety of option on their disposal, he can't contest shots and they all shoot over him both on jumpshots and on their way to the rim.
He's a fun player to watch, but he's a borderline NBA player. I wouldn't be shocked or upset one bit if he didn't make the team...
The one summer league game I probably would have been interested in seeing a bit of and it doesn't look like they replayed it. Funny.
Oh well, the quality of summer league is awful, and it's hard to watch the games. I get why people watch it, though it reminds me of stoners scraping their pipes for resin or drunks raiding the pantry for vanilla or the bathroom for Scope. I feel the same way about preseason football. Preseason basketball is actually not too bad to watch though, since the regular players seem to get a decent amount of minutes.
