What's new

Utah Jazz vs. Phoenix Suns July 14th, 2015. 5:30 PM Mountain Time ***Official Game Thread***

Lyles certainly isn't shy about bombing away from 3pt line.... even though that's what's losing us the game, LOL ...

JaJuan Johnson is winning me over. I want him more than Cooley. He provides length, athletic ability, some shotblocking, a midrange jumper and finishing around the hoop. He is a thin 6'10" but he seems to hold is position okay. He even hit a 3 today. Oh and his rebounding is okay.

Oh and the rest of the team. Lyles outside shot isn't there yet but he is showing more of a complete array of skills. His D and rebound still have a ways to go.

Hanlan looks like his is finding his spot and doing better. But at his size and athletic ability, he has to show a superior skill level. Hasn't happened yet. I don't see it happening without at least an offseason of development.

Cooley struggled with Len's size a little.

Warren ate Lyles and everyone else up.

Cotton struggled with Goodwin's physical D and size in the first quarter. He figured it out later on. He is an NBA player for somebody. Dunno if it is us.

Johnson looks more and more limited to me. He can barely dribble against pressure. And his D isn't that great. I think I would rather have Elijah.

Lyles is going to be good. He had some really impressive passes that showed great vision and timing. He's going to fit in really nicely. Just needs to start finding his range and hitting his free-throws...and rebounding better....and defending at the rim more....and finishing inside stronger... crap, he's got a lot of things to work on.

Yea, I think he is the 3rd PF on the team that spends some time in the D-League this year. Next year he might be ready to be in the rotation consistently.

Lyles probably going to spend 0 time in the D-League.
