What's new

Utah loves Dante Exum at 5

Same thing, if you listen to David Locke or Chad Ford these were obvious. Locke talked about how much they loved Gobert. Brewer and Burks slipped to us so those were obvious picks.

Same thing with Maynor, Locke knew the Jazz liked him but he was very against drafting Maynor.

Again, none of the draft picks are shocking. The only time it was shocking is when a player falls to us that is obviously higher on the draft board or the Jazz pull off a trade like the one for Trey.

Oh shoot, I missed the links. Will you please point them out for me? TIA.

I am actually not super high on Exum to be honest. I thought schrooder (sp?) looked fantastic in the film I saw of him, never to be heard from again.

So, I have to keep some healthy skepticism when it comes to Exum and his resume. Probably be happy if we drafted him at 5 though. Fit and upside seem nice.

I think Exum is a sure-fire PG; otherwise I doubt he'd be as highly regarded.

If we draft Exum, Burke becomes immediately expendable, IMO. He's more valuable to us as a trade asset than he would be as a backup PG. Burke + 23 for a late lotto pick, or Burke straight up for a 2015 unprotected 1st.

This having Exam fall after being the 4th guy in a four player draft up until now is concerning. Which in most cases you just right it off as good luck, but you don't have the film against a high level for an entire season like you do with all the college guys.

I think a good majority of gms have Exum in the 2nd tier with Gordon, Randle, Saric, Smart, and Vonleh. So I wouldn't say a four player draft.

I'll give you Deron, but i'd be interested in seeing the links where they liked Kanter and G-time. Also, what about Burks, Gobert, Maynor, Koufous, Brewer, etc.

- The Jazz and Kentucky point guard Brandon Knight are a sensible match with the third pick, as Utah looks to replace the gaping hole left by the trade of Deron Williams to the Nets. Some execs have gotten indications that Utah also is considering Enes Kanter.

Yea I'm going to pull up podcasts and ESPN chats from the last 10 years......dumbass.

You lose credibility when you make stuff up so I have to ask for links. Burks was at 19 on DX, 13 on .net. But your thin skin adds entertainment value, so there's that.

Did you not watch any Hawks games last year?

Lol, I didn't watch much NBA last year to be honest. Kids get in the way. Hard to watch NBA when Clifford the big red dog is on tv 24/7.

Did Schroder look good? (if so it would restore some of my faith in my eyeballs to judge talent)
