Utah mentioned as a possible destination for Pierce

I guess you haven't seen what players like James Harden mean to their teams. Rockets have jack squat and Harden, and about the same record as a team you wouldn't trade ONE player off of?

I'd give up Favors, GSW pick, Jazz 2013 & 2015 1st, & Burks for an All Star of Rondo's caliber.

Fill the team in with JJ Hickson, Boozer's amnestied contract, David West, specialists like Korver who add way more than Foye, get Iguodala to terminate and sign a multi-year deal...fill in like this, but first take Rondo and run with it.

I would give up Favors for Harden. Not for Rondo. Rondo is a very, very nice player, but he isn't a number one or two. If he was, Boston would be a whole heck of a lot better.

Harden is a number 1 option. Rondo is a number 3 option. Rondo is a lot less effective as "the guy" and you want to trade away Favors, THREE first round picks, AND Burks? You are beyond crazy.

I'm not banging on Rondo at all. BUT, if the Jazz want any shot at competing for a title, they NEED Favors to pan out. Desperately. Rondo is Favors' best shot at panning out. So why would you trade Favors for the player you are bringing in to make Favors great?

Rondo won't make Al better. Al is Al. Paul is too small to carry a team. Hayward could be the guy, but he needs the ball in his hands, as does Rondo (as evidenced by his 12 fga and 11 assists per game). You DO NOT trade for Rondo with Al still on the team. They are not made for each other.

You DO TRADE for Rondo with Favors on the team. I picture Favors and Rondo running an amazing P&R together, ala Nash/Stoudemire.

Why would you trade away that when you could give up Kanter, Millsap or Al, especially when Boston will want a name back for Rondo and Favor's ain't a name. To average Boston fan, Favors is just a top three pick bust. They would have the same opinion of Favors that we had for Marvin.

Favors is a big cost but the way I look at it is a sum of C + PG. Rondo plus Favors' replacement is going to be much better than anything the Jazz will be able to fill in the point guard hole with. Plus, the Jazz defense problem starts on the perimeter. I like the defense of Rondo, Hayward at the 2, and am serious about overpaying Iggy at the 3 for 2 years or so. Keep Sap and replace Jefferson with a player who gives a damn and that team would be a solid top 4 seed, especially considering Hayward's growth.

Wow. That is an AWFUL team. Rondo can't shoot the three (25%), Iggy can't shoot the three (31%), Sap can't carry a team, and you can't get a replacement for Favors.

Why are so intent on giving up Favors and THREE first round picks when Boston (if they are even going to move Rondo) would most likely rather have Al?

I like Rondo, I would LOVE to have him and Favors together. He is not a number 1, and building a team around him is crazy. Look at Boston.

Building a team around Favors, with Hayward, Rondo, Kanter is a much, much, much better idea.

I'm not sure where Rondo being the first option ever came up, green. I'm not sure many teams want their PG to be the first or even second option. Rather, you want your PG to just make everyone on the team a little bit better..

I know that was obvious, but I am confoosed.

Just because?

The way you make it sound, Jazz have a deal. I win, you're ****ed, we're all happy, you're ****ed.

Who the **** would rather have Al than Favors? Uh, no one, that's who.

Who interests you most as far as potential trade targets?

I know some on here think Wall is a bust, but I would go out for him. Not going to require as much as rondo and has the potential to be better than Rondo. Id move Milsap, Burks and three picks for him. You might get me to bite on swapping Kanter for burks, but would be tough. I still see Favors as borderline untouchable. He is an anchor on the defense and has good BB IQ. You hold on to players like him even if they dont avergae 20 points a game.

Agree about Wall. I've been cautioning that we've yet to see him be able to run a team (injuries and McGee).

I'd take him in a minute, but I'm not sure he'd be cheaper because the Wizards still have confidence in his marketability.

Not sure your trade proposal would be enough for Wall.
He has completely turned Wizards around since he got back.
I too think he would be better than Rondo.
He is a franchise top ten player.

Whats funny is that ESPN did not even rank Wall in there top 25 under 25. A complete joke of an article...Why do I countinue to pay for this **** year after year? Really just been to lazy to cancel.

I paid for insider for about 6 months and realized the only thing they do is bait people to join through catchy headlines .. with articles completely void of substance. Cuff ESPN.
