Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

They are Aaron Gordon trade ideas not Biyombo trade ideas. Focus. It's like somebody crying over our trade for Derrick Rose. OMG Derrick Rose Derrick Rose. We just traded for Crowder.

Does Aaron Gordon make us a contender? That is the question. Does Jabari?

You focus.

Biyombo has a player option for 2020 and at $17 ****ing Million dollars he sure as **** aint turning that down!

His option is for 2019-20. http://www.basketballinsiders.com/orlando-magic-team-salary/ So we would pay him for 2 seasons at $17. But we would have Aaron Gordon from age 22 to hopefully age 32 playing alongside Donovan Mitchell the whole way winning championships.

After 148 pages you still dont get it. We are positioning for next years free agent class. With Biyombo on our books we'll just be standing around with our dick in our hands while all nba talent is distributed through the league

#1 - most of the league has ample 2019 cap space
#2 - are we a major free agent destination? I forget...
#3 - Aaron Gordon or Parker is a bigger acquisition than we ever have had in free agency

So you trade for the right to get the fantastic asset rather than hope really, really hard.

This.

Wes clearly hasn't watched enough basketball this year to know enough to talk.

Nuggets had just beaten OKC and Golden States in a row. They've done it without Millsap. 3 players who score something like 80% of their points are younger than 23 years old (Jokic, Harris and Murray). All of their starters (including Millsap) can all shoot lights out from 3s. They are improving on defense. Jokic is a pass first Center that is unselfish and can shoot 3s. Harris is a defensive guard who can knock down 3s and score inside. Murray is having an amazing breakout year this year. The future of that team is so bright it's blinding.

Edit: OH and BTW, they've already beaten the Warriors x2 this season. Considering how young they are it's pretty amazing.

So Jokic’s 34.5% from 3 is lights out?
Even Murray’s 38.2%?

Lol okay. They’re a whopping 13th in the league as a team in 3 point percentage!

Get a clue. Ability and results are two completely different things. Carmelo is a prime example of that.

Most of the league certainly does not have 2019 cap space.

I'm not sure I like this deal, but it may have had to be done. I think the Jazz had overtures of having to let Hood walk anyway while he had his chance to do his thing to earn his money this summer, and he didn't let it happen. Jazz and other teams knew Hood was going to have to leave getting 75 cents on the dollar due to recent events. The fact that it was the Cavaliers also spins a bad taste about it.
