Utes 2011 Football Discussion

If you want to go "letter of the law", practically everyone involved in the BYU or Utah threads is trolling, to some extent. We put up with a certain level of it because we do not want to have to lock each and every thread. We like to believe that everyone is enough of an adult to absorb some jabs now and then. If someone is offended by another poster, they always have the option of putting them on ignore.

What is this 1984 crap? It's 2011. I just checked and BYU hasn't beat a team with a winning record all season.

1984, lol. There was no BCS back then, that's how long ago it was. What's next, Cubs fans screaming "1908" after they get swept in a series?

At least Utah has won a couple BCS bowls. That is at least the modern era.

54-10, that is current.

It's sports. Smack talk is what sports fans do. Ignore him and move on, or have at it with him.

If it makes you all feel better, I'm a Colorado alumni and I just flew to Seattle to see the Buffs get their asses handed to them. I would say they're the worst team in the Pac 12.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Every time I see some Ute tool spout off about a totally irrelevant game, I will do the same by spouting off an equally irrelevant game.

So a game from a few weeks ago is no more relevant than a game 27 years ago?

I guarantee you, a game 27 years ago has no impact on what bowl game BYU or Utah goes to this season. A game from a few weeks ago will absolutely be a factor.

Nice try Stradivarius, but it was a national championship. Not a 3rd place consolation game. Even if you argue that they shared the championship that's better than number 3.

I guess I should call you 3rd string Stradivarius.
