Yeah, I bought it. It's okay... I got bored of it quicker than I thought I might... probably because the core shooting mechanic just really isn't all that strong when you get right down to it.Just bought Red Redemption yesterday. So far its pretty good. Anyone else been playing it?

But if you want to play a REALLY good game:

That's a download link for X-Com: UFO Defense. It's a really old PC game, and also saw release on the PS1 (launch title, I think). Anyway, the whole download is only 8.5 megs, and 20 megs when you install it. But old as it is, it's one of the best games I've ever played, period.
But don't take my word for it. IGN ranked it as the #1 PC game of all time:

I beat Red Dead in six days. I was expecting it to be much longer, but it's still fun.
Any Starcraft geeks up in this piece?
Well, trust me, play it now. It's still worth playing. I played Apocalypse as well, and it doesn't touch this version.I didn't play that one, but I did basically quit a decent job when I was 19 to play X-Com Apocalypse. Top 3 game for me, along with Romance of the Three Kingdoms III and Civilization II.
Halo 3 anyone?
