W.C Playoffs

OK, the following divisions have had all its teams make the playoffs (note that I'm only including divisions of 5+ teams):

1983-84 Atlantic Division (5 teams)
1985-86 Midwest Division (6 teams)
2005-06 Central Division (5 teams)

NBA-wise, that's it. I'm not bothering to look into the ABA.

Wow 2005-2006? I would have thought it would be like the 70s or something if at all.

What are the chances the playoffs look something like this:

1.OKC
2. Lakers
3. S.A.
4. Utah
5. Clips
6. Denver
7. Portland
8. Minny

That leaves out notables Dallas and Memphis. Has an entire division ever made the playoffs before?

I could possibly see Dallas missing the playoffs as this season is mostly about just keeping water out of the boat and going for a home run in FA next year. I honestly don't see how Memphis would finish behind Portland and Minnesota unless they had a rash of injuries. I would even say that Memphis will probably finish ahead of Utah and Denver.

It sursprises me that there's not more years this happened recently.
Especially in the East before the big 3 homos went to Miami.

In the Atlantic you have Toronto and New Jersey. In Central you have Detroit and now Cleveland. In Southeast you have Charlotte and Washington.

In Pacific you have Golden State, Sactown and now Phoenix. In Northwest you have Minny (maybe not anymore). In Southwest you have Nawlins.

I thought all 5 teams being playoff bound would be exceedingly rare.

More likely something like this:
1. OKC
2. Lakers
3. S.A.
4. Clips
5/6. Utah/Memphis
7/8 Dallas/Denver
with #5 and 6 pretty interchangeable and 7/8 interchangeable
I can see the T-wolves squeezing into the 8th spot, but I just don't see Portland getting in this year

Lol @ the Grizzlies missing the playoffs, and Portland making it.

LOl @ not really seeing what I am saying you wannabe Eminem.

I agree that something would really have to hit the fan for Memphis not to make it. I was just wondering what everyone thought the chances were.

I'd say playoffs will look like this.
1. OKC
2. Lakers
3. S.A.
4. Memphis
5. Utah/Clips
6. Clips/Utah
7. Denver
8. Minny/Dallas

Personally I'd love a 4/5 of Memphis and Utah.

Now now dear, I was laughing at SLC Dunk, not you. I totally got what you were saying :) I think that the only way we'll make to the second round is if we lock the 5th seed. And quite honestly, I can't see us finishing ahead of the Clippers. Predicting a 6th seed, and praying that the Spurs slip to 4th or 5th seed.

I would also love a Memphis/Utah series as well. Past season match ups have ended more often than not in our favour, no?

That's the match up I'd want. Also wouldn't mind facing the Clips. Yes, I know they have a couple of studs in Griffin and Paul. But the rest of the starting lineup isn't all that great, nor is their depth. Perhaps if Odom has his head screwed on straight. I think they could drop a bit in the standings.

The main reason I want a Utah/Memphis series is that the Grizz are my second favorite team after Utah. I went to a few games when I lived in Memphis. Fond memories and all that.

You been drinking lemonade flavored beer again stroked? How did you come up with a list that excluded Memphis outright and has Clippers below the Jazz? You stoned? Kids keep you up all night?

Been drinking beer and toking because the kids kept me up all night. The order is not important. Mainly just that all 5 of a division make it. I think Memphis will be in the playoffs and maybe even Dallas. Just a hypothetical.

Like, why don't we just include all 15 teams, man? Just a hypothetical.
