Gasol may be soft, but he's a stud. To me, calling him soft sounds like one of those things people say enough that it becomes conventional wisdom. I'm highly skeptical. Before he arrived in LA, Kobe and the Lakers didn't get past the second round. A few years later, they have 3 finals appearances and 2 titles. He was the difference maker. Who in their right mind wouldn't want Gasol?
If im trading away my best player in Howard and sending him to the Lakers. IM gonig to send them the videos of the playoffs with his numbers compared next to Gasol. Then start off saying Gasol, Odom, Artest,Character for Gilbert, Howard. I think the Lakers just might be craziest enough to do it. Gilbert, Kobe, Barns, Howard, Bynum is still a crazy good team.
But on the other hand, I think that if im Orlando I might be listening to offers from the Clippers, Twlves, New Jersey, Thunder and Washington.
Clippers offer up Gordon, there minny pick, Kamen and Aminu for Howard
Twolves offer up Kevin Love, Darko, W. Johnson, rights to Rubio, and a lotto pick
NJ. offers up Lotto picks, Lopez, a freshly signed Kris Humphries, Morrows
Id call the Thunder up and ask for Westbrook, Ibaka, Perkins for Howard, Nelson
Washington offers up Jordan Crawford, Mcgee, Lotto picks, and Blatche
I thnk they can get a decent amount of talent from Howard.

Would the Lakers be interested in Jefferson, Miles, and the GS pick for Gasol? Would you be?
I wouldn't want Gasol on our team as it is now. Sure he can score on anyone in the low-post, but don't we have that in Jefferson already? I'm not saying Jefferson=Gasol, I'm saying there are much bigger needs for this team than a all-star caliber PF/C when you can argue that we already have one and potentially two. Call me out on this if you want but I actually think Jefferson is a better defender than Gasol from just my perspective. I haven't gone into stats or anything to really find out. But my biggest reason is Jefferson is 25 and Gasol is 30. Al fits into our future plans better in my opinion, and obviously we would have to give up more than Jefferson in a Gasol swap.
