Warriors Pick: We missed Harrison Barnes - But we got Rodney Hood

It will be interesting to see how Rodney Hood fits in with the Jazz and develops vs Barnes. We all were bummed that we didn't get the Warriors pick a couple of years ago. It may have all worked out for the better.

Barnes is bigger than Hood but I think Hood could be a better shooter than Barnes. Barnes might be a little better/versatile defender.

I am happy we got Rodney on the Jazz.

I think the OP was musing that it might be possible the "lousy" pick that we got from the second trade might end up being better player than the player the Warriors took when they tanked to get the pick. Golden State would have undoubtedly taken Hood had they kept 23. Barnes has been a disappointment. Glad he is their disappointment and not ours.

As long as we're playing what ifs, I prefer my version where Al and/or Sap were traded for bad contracts and picks. Not only does Utah stockpile some trade assets, they most definitely turn trey burke into 2 top ten picks. And since this is my fantasy, those picks would be Lillard and/or Drummond.

**** Harrison Barnes.

FWIW, yeah Barnes' efficiency numbers are awful but at the same time he's obviously in the wrong system in GSW.

It's all good in the Hood for me though.

Bruhs.. Saying we missed Harrison Barnes is sandbagging the situation, its not the logic used with the Burks/Kahwi and Hayward/George comparisons. I'd have to say the Jazz missed out on Andre Drummond.
