Wassup with Sap?

Has had a so-so preseason as starting PF so far.

Based on the preseason lineups, Sloan seems to have penciled in Sap/Al to start at PF/C. Stick with that? Or start Jefferson at PF, have a token starting center, and bring Millsap off the bench again?

It hasn't been so-so. He's been barely a role-player. I hope he picks it up soon, or we'd be better off starting AJ and Fes/Okur.

Sloan won't hesitate to do this if the line up with Sap and Al isn't working.
Ideally, Sloan would like to be able to start the 7-foot-1, 285-pounder.

"But who do I sit down?" he asked. "That's the thing."

If need be, though, Sloan won't hesitate to turn to Fesenko — just like when he started him after then starting center Mehmet Okur ruptured his Achilles tendon early last postseason.

"I don't have any problem," Sloan said, "putting him out there on the floor. ... If Al (Jefferson) wasn't able to play a game today, I'd start him.

I think Millsap will be fine. I just hope Millsap is always in the game when Jefferson is out so he can still be effective.

Give Millsap about 10-15 minutes of scoring time. And let Fesenko and Elson and AK play more minutes with Jefferson.

So Millsap should come out after 6 minutes in the 1st. Than let him get his production when Deron is in the game.

And Make sure Jefferson is in the game when Deron is out.

We will be better off if Millsap is coming off of the bench. I'll give Millsap a while to see if he and AJ can mesh. Although I think they are too much alike to spend vast amounts of time on the floor together. AJ is better so he should be starting and finishing. Millsap should finish till Okur gets back unless we need Fess' height and he is playing well. Once Okur comes back I'm not sure that Okur and AJ would not be a better lineup together most if not all of the time.

...don't worry about sap, he's a ball buster! But even if he starts to bomb, so what? We are knee deep in guys that can take his place...and at a cheaper price!
