For the attention of all the people who doesnt give credit to korver! I have seen more than 10 games this year of Bulls and in almost all of them, korver had a critical shot at some point, as today he made 2 critical clutch shots which closed the door to Toronto. I think he is the underrated contributer in the bulls team and was as well in our team, he doesnt have good statistics cuz he almost doesnt play first 3 quarters, but when needed he does his job perfectly. Its very difficult to find such role players who would give a team so much lift in nba. We already had one, but we lost just cuz of monetary reasons. what else can i say

I liked Korver. He was steadier than CJ and had similar stats last year. He was a clutch shooter, played hard on both ends of the court. He was under-rated defensively, and could go off for 20+ on any given night. We sure missed him this year. With that outside shot we would have been better from the get-go. Maybe with a Korver-type player we would not have blown up like we did.

i think even with this short handed team, our most important problem is how to close games, so we definitely miss a guy like a korver or memo in his prime

Why not go watch Korver's performance during the playoffs with the Jazz then you will see why he plays for the Bulls. Except for one or two games he sucked in the playoffs.

cowhide is exactly right. In 3 years of playoffs with the Jazz (27 games)h he had exactly one great performance.

Maybe he'll play better for the Bulls this year, but I was sick and tired of waiting on Korver to show up in the playoffs.

I still can't get over the fact that in the final 5 seconds of Game 6 vs the Lakers he passed on an open three and gave the ball to Memo for a shot that wasn't any better.

I think when players don't show up for the playoffs it is a matter that they don't belong in that league. The skill level leagues are college --> NBA reg season --> NBA playoffs. The reg season has so many games where opposing teams are not focused, dedicated to defense. This situation doesn't occur in the playoffs. So a guy like korver is not allowed to have openn shots. Against LA, they had a guy nose to nose with Kover every second of every possession, therefore nullifying him.

An example of this is the Jazz's wonderful out of bounds plays. They work amazingly well in regular season but in playoffs they are minimized substantially.

That's exactly why many of us think he would have lifted the Jazz this year. It was pretty damn hard for Williams to do anything having to beat not only his man but also the guy cheating off the 2/3. "Nullifying him" restricted defensive schemes a lot.

i remember that position in game 6, it was 7 am in my country and i was about to have heart attack cuz of that game. But u cant blame him just cuz of one position. And i dont remember any good playoff run jazz had in the last 4 yrs.

We already beat just 3 teams in the playoff last 4 yrs. Gsw doesnt count, Houston win was good first year, but the second yr they were without yao n tmac. And the other team is denver which he made the most critical shot in the most critical game. How many people thinks we would win that series if we were 0-2? I dont think so

And against la, how many jazz players did anythng good at all except deron? One man isnt enough to win series, kobe wasnt enough when he was without shaq or gasol, and even lebron wasnt enough.

I have watched so many games of chicago this year, to see the performance of omer asik ,my countryman. And i have seen how important korver was for their success to close out games. I invite everyone who doesnt give credit to korver to watch chicago in playoffs these year. Im sure they will not make the finals, and im sure derrick rose's performance will slightly go down. But im sure, korver will make enough clutch shots.

Well, he doesn't have to protect his precious 3Pt% any more, so he's free to take these shots.
