I've never really worn a watch before and was looking to start. I'm considering something classy, fairly expensive ($100-200) but nothing too much. I prefer something more silver in color than gold.

Any recommendations on a classy, up-scale men's watch? With Loggrad's Amazon Prime post, I may be able to get a good discount on one there.

I've seen a few come across the Prime sale, if you are a prime member. I am not a watch person so I can't say much about them.

For about $350 you can buy a nice fake Rolex.

For that price, you simply will not find a better watch than a Seiko. Best bang for buck on the market IMO-- but their style is more functional than dramatic. If that makes sense.

I personally own a Tissot Seastar Automatic that I bought on clearance for $400 CAD, and I really like it. I had a Tissot Visodate beforehand (that I lost) and I was a big fan of it too. I like Tissot, for cheap Swiss watches.

Don't buy a Nixon unless it's Swiss-made IMO.

I think watches suck and are totally unnecessary.

True for pretty much all material possessions in the world, really.

Not that I would know. Dal the materialistic whore.

So they made you change your name huh?

Amazon.com Invicta or Swiss Legend. There seems to always be a few on sale for a decent price. I've never(never will either) paid full retail for a watch. I own 9.
