What's new

We are going to be luckier than Charlotte...and get the #2 pick.

People are stupid if they literally don't want to win the lottery... and I don't believe anyone is saying that.

Obviously winning it this year has ZERO statistical impact on whether we get lucky again in future years.

All I'll say is I would be shopping that pick if we won.

But writers are quoting GM's who are saying it....

Sam Amico (Fox Sports Ohio)When asked to assess the 2013 NBA Draft, one general manager said he liked it just fine. He just wouldn’t want to possess the first or second pick.

That particular GM doesn’t need to worry. His team made the playoffs and has no chance of winning Tuesday night’s draft lottery.

Everyone else … well, they too may be praying to end the evening with the rally cry of, “We’re No. 3!”

Not that finishing first is a nightmare. You can always trade the pick.

I don't believe half of what I read this time of year, GM's have good reasons to lie. But this is the third or fourth refrence since the combine that I've seen people saying they wouldn't want the #1 or 2.

You don't read the context into that?? Of course they want the top picks.. they're just saying its nerve racking because with it comes more pressure.. it's tongue-in-cheek.

GM's don't want #1 or 2 because of the expectations. Winning the lottery this year is about as close as you can get to guaranteeing you will be fired in 1-2 seasons.

I propose we trade Al Jefferson and Ty Corbin for the goofy looking son of the Cleveland Cavs owner. We need him for next years draft lottery. That kid is clutch.
