The second night was great.

I couldn't get enough of Pawlenty's Obama roast.

Condi's speech was very powerful. I loved this personal part she shared:

"And on a personal note – a little girl grows up in Jim Crow Birmingham – the most segregated big city in America - her parents can’t take her to a movie theater or a restaurant – but they make her believe that even though she can’t have a hamburger at the Woolworth’s lunch counter – she can be President of the United States and she becomes the Secretary of State. Yes, America has a way of making the impossible seem inevitable in retrospect. But of course it has never been inevitable – it has taken leadership, courage and an unwavering faith in our values."

I'd never heard of Susana Martinez (Governor of New Mexico) but she had a great background story, and she explained how she was convinced to switch parties.
I LOLed at her surprise at her conversion. "I'll be Damned! We're Republican!"

I was impressed with Paul Ryan, and enjoyed his jabs at Obama.

I left the Ryan speech thinking that Obama is a much better presenter, but his holding his nose in the air will wear thin with a voting populace wanting someone to speak with them, rather than at them. His speech was okay, not great, overall, imo. But I do think he spoke as someone that will do the dirty work (elbow grease) .. that was good.

I have felt Obama can't be beat by Romney, this will be an interesting few months, for sure.

"I have never seen an opponet so silent about their record." - Paul Ryan

Kind of like Romney is quiet about his tax returns?

THat was pretty good. Well done.

@PKM. I actually think Obama can be beat. Not saying he will be I certainly think it is possible. The election will be close either way in my opinion.

Yes I enjoyed when the Republicans took control of congress, and Newt was speaker.

Interesting perspective.

I don't see how people think Obama is a good "presenter." He puts in a lot of "ums" between words. I had a professor who did that and I could barely stand sitting through his lectures.
