Burks was having such a pedestrian year prior to his injury. His advanced stats are in the toilet. Rondo is leading the league in assists per game again.

Discuss.
 
PKM's been beating the drum on the Rondo to Utah move for years.. It was always really unpopular around here..

Interested to see how this thread plays out.
 
Dwayne Wade says Alec Burks is the most underrated player in the league, and at less than 10% of the cap the next few seasons, he's great value.

This thread is misguided to mention him, they could've had Rondo for the price of Pleiss, Trevor Booker and Joe Ingles too.

Burks was one of the front-runners for 6th man of the year before the injury, that's not pedestrian..

And after rondo last season it's not like we knew exactly what we would have been getting.

He's 261st in the league in scoring efficiency at a chucker's rate of .518 ts%. That's touted as his only exceptional skill, and he's not even good at that. How again is he underrated?

This ^^^

Last year was a disaster, and with how he ended his time in Dallas it was a huge risk for anyone to sign him to a substantial contract. It was a calculated risk by the Kings, but a risk nonetheless. If Rondo had come in to Utah the same way he did in Dallas, he would have wrecked team chemistry worse than Kanter.
