I wanted someone different than Hayward on draft day. Still do, but since he is here I want him to succeed. I like the kid. I'm not going to hold it against him that I wanted other guys more.
It's not Hayward the player either, it's where we drafted him. At #9 I still think he's a big reach.
ON the positive, he looks like he's been hitting the gym hard. He's getting pretty ripped. He's going to be fun to watch develop on offense. He is perfect for the system.
It's defense that scares the **** out of me.
I can't believe we have another intriguing player from the 2nd round. KOC you really make up for your 1st round blunders with 2nd round magic.
This team is really deep. IF AK stays healthy, Fes and CJ progress we'll truly have a chance to compete with the Lakers (we haven't been real contenders the last 2 years).
This season is starting off with a hint of true hope to compete with the West elite. I haven't felt that in a while.
