Watching the last 3 games it is obvious that he have no gas in the tank once the team gets beyond the Core 5. The team is stuck with Rush, Beans and RJeff and I think there was more firepower in training camp. The guys that got their walking papers like Cook, Justin Holliday, Dominic McQuire and Machado I think are better than what we have now. Rush and Beans aren't NBA players right now. RJeff has hit the wall and Kevin Murphy was the DLeague player of the week. What would have happened if the team has signed Mo, Sap, Al and JYD? I hope Lindsey's plan works or it could be a decade of crappiness.

You realize that every off-season decent bench players are available at decent rates, right? The bench being awful is 100% intentional to keep us from winning 35 games.

I loved Justin Holliday's length and shooting form in the pre-season. But the fact is his shots didn't fall.

Cook is cooked.

Machado is not an NBA player.

But what about Murph and McGuire? 51 points in a game is 51 points and he hit some 3 point shots. Right we don't want to win 35 games.

Vying for the 7th/8th seed and - if we made the playoffs - a pick around #20. If missed the playoffs, then #14. And no way to improve much beyond a bottom-end playoff team due to salary limitations. That would have been the outlook with the players above minus Big Al. Keep Al AND Millsap, maybe that lifts the team to a #5 pick. But it would have spelled the end of Favors. You can't pay three bigs top dollar. Mo - and I was his biggest supporter when he signed - proved worthless.

Worst case: our #1's this year are busts. Burke never improves. Corbin is signed to a lifetime contract. Yes, I guess Utah could have a decade of crappiness. I really don't see that happening. I think the core-5 are already decent. Not consistent, but generally sound. Put them on the floor at the same time and that has been Utah's best line-up statistically. And that leaves a terrible bench. So either upgrade the bench (i.e. the picks, Neto, a free agent or two) or continue with Burks and Kanter heading up the 2nd unit and replace RJ and MW with better starters (the top-10 pick and a FA). Add in the other pick and Neto or a better backup PG and the Jazz are back in playoff contention (at a minimum) and hopefully improving from there.

As for the D-League, every season there are a few that tear things up, they get called up and then disappear. Or they are all offense and no defense. A few do stick, but it's rare. And I'm not counting draft picks who have been sent there to develop (such as Gobert going down for a stint).

D-League stats are like the NBA All-Star game. They just don't translate.

well the wya jazz are going we get 8th pick? maybe 9th depending on lakers/kobe

is that nbteter than 14th?

will 9th give uis a franchise player?(maybe) but so could 14th/

and miss the playoff while helping worthless vets (raja, jefferson, howard) get a contract
