What's new

We need to pick our rotation.

With Howard being back, going 11 deep is too much.

Even 10 deep is too much. I think this is why Hayward specifically is not consistent.

Like a second string QB with a short leash, most do not play well in that atmosphere.

Don't care who it is (I have my opinion), but for the sake of development, I hope Ty takes the rotation to 8, 9 deep at the most.

When the schedule gets really compacted, which is real soon, we'll all be glad to have 13 guys who can step on the floor and contribute. And we'll be travelling a lot more too... I would actually like to see Tinsley get some PT too. I liked the Harris/Watson smallball combo to end the T'wolves game too...

I agree it will help, when we have injuries, poor performance issues etc...

At least give someone a few games before pulling the leash is what I am saying.

Stick to 8-9 for the current game.

Starting to look like a rec team sharing minutes.....

It actually has a reverse impact. When people know they get minutes somewhat rotated evenly, they do not work as hard.

You work a lot harder knowing that if you make the Top 8/9 rotation, you get serious minutes.

We are not rewarding our better players IMO and not giving them a chance to develop.

Wrong... Corbin has played the rotations perfect if anything.
Way too early to go to a 8 or 9 man rotation. 5-8 extra minutes per night add up on back to backs and traveling road games.

CJ minutes limited and Burks more until CJ pulled his head out.
Bell reduced until he pulled his head out.
Harris now reduced and Watson getting more playing time.
Big man rotation pretty good with the young guys getting some time.

I'm fine with giving Tinsley a shot. Give him Harris's minutes and sit Harris for a few. Just don't add to the rotation. I'm for starting Watsom, 2nd unit with Tinsley, sit Harris a few

During the playoffs is when that 8-9 man rotation really comes into play. We still have time to establish who that should be. However the deepness of the Jazz bench is a huge plus in this break neck pace of games. Give them time now so that we have a better spread when that 8-9 man rotation is needed.

I agree with both udflyer and NDY.
When players only get 5-10 mins per game, it's hard to develop any kind of consistency. It's also nice to have depth with a compacted schedule. If I were Corbin, I'd give players some nights off. Go with a 8-9 man rotation, but on some nights one or two of the wings would get a DNP, and one of the bigs would rest. And why not sit Harris or Watson for a game every now and then?

On the other hand, the team is winning, the Jazz have been pretty healthy and there haven't been complaints re: PT (at least none we've heard about). Maybe the best thing to do is adhere to the old adage, "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it."

Im completely happy with our pick. And if you disagree.... then you can go to HELL!!!! YA I SAID IT!!! GO TO H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS. I LOVE MY LITTLE GORDON HE MEANS A LOT TO ME AND I MEAN A LOT TO HIM. HOW DARE YOU COMPARE HIM. BRING IT!!! YA I SAID IT COME AT ME BRO GORDON IS A GREAT YOUNG MAN AND HE IS BEAUTIFUL.

I agree. Stick to the rotation and give some DNP's.

Basically tell the troops, when it is your night, go 120%.

I think you will see positions 6-11 develop much better (Hayward, Burks, Favors, Kanter)

If it aint broke, don't fix it. Ty's whooping serious ***, why are we suggesting that he should switch things up?

Because we will not develop players to be where they need to be later in the year.

We are setting up to get pasted in Feb/March if we keep this up.
