We should go after KJ McDaniels

I think he has the potential to become a star. Even a two way player. He's a young 22, so he has a lot of room to grow. He played well for the Sixers last year. I think the Sixers tried to limit his minutes because he was going to become a restricted free agent this summer, and they didn't want his value to go up too fast.

They may or may not match a good offer for him. My guess is that they will, because like I said I think they are trying to hide him. But if you make it big enough they might get scared.

It's a huge risk, but with the cap going up, we can afford it. Maybe give him something like a 3 year deal. That way we don't hurt ourselves when it comes to extending Gobert, Favors, and Hayward. But gives us a chance to see if he could be a star, and get him liking the team.

He's got the makings of a two way player and a star. It's a risk worth taking imo. He may not seem to fit the mold of a Jazz player on the surface, but I believe that you can mold someone if you get them young enough.

I'm not sold on Burks being our starter yet. His defense still worries me, and even some of his offense. He might just have to stick to being a sixth man.

Edit: forgot he was traded to Houston. I think that makes his value even lower. We could get him cheaper I bet.

The Sixers didn't hide him, they traded him to Houston and he got buried on the bench.

personally I want mcdaniels and Beverly from the Houston team. I agree if he can learn to shoot he could be amazing. maybe a SnT that includes Burke.

Houston probably wont match a decent deal for him. They already have their wings.

What a dumb *** trade by the sixers. I wonder why they did that.

It's looking like he's probably not going to have NBA 3 point range. Not much ball handling ability, a SF in a SGs body.

Cause they have half the second round picks in the next draft they need to make room for next year?

He's 22. His form looks good. He started off hot then cooled off. He could become a better shooter I think.

Kid has defensive potential, but I don't see him as a 2-way player. I'd have gladly drafted him in the late 1st/early 2nd as a perimeter defender, but the Jazz already have 4 solid wings (Burks, Hood, Ingles and Millsap) and would be better served adding someone with higher potential in the upcoming draft (Winslow, Hezonja or Johnson).

Plus, KJ McDaniels mom makes Trey Burke's mom look patient and quiet by comparison. Jazz fans would get sick of her helicopter parent act really, really fast. Nice kid. Interesting player. Not worth a huge investment.

When I call someone an idiot I'm usually right. It's precious u actually think he will be a star. Exactly how much of the jazz's money do u want to waste? I gather since u think he's going to be a star u want the Jazz to max him out. That is the going rate for a supposed two way star, right? Hopefully he will learn to play offense soon.

And yes you're an idiot. Now neg me and get your whining out of the way for calling u an idiot so I can get on with my weekend.

I think he could be our energy, carroll like player. Wouldn't really help on offense, but could be good.

I mean, it's all about how much $$$ he cost. For me, anything over 3 million a year would probably be too much.

i wouldn't mind him for the right price. The way he started his rookie season I was willing to give him the MLE-level money, but that was conditioned on him keeping his 3p shot, which he didn't. He shot about 20% for the rest of the season after a hot start.
