What's new

We signed Emmanuel Mudiay

I would say there are too many people in it. Niang likely doesn’t make the regular rotation, I’m not sure both Exum and Mudiay do either (as in, I think it will be one or the other).
I could see Mudiay getting spot minutes behind Mitchell at SG to allow Royce to play primarily as the backup 3/4 but I think Exum gets most of the minutes as the 3rd guard. At least in October, who knows what happens by January.

Guess I agree with Niang, I suppose he might have to wait for injuries (everyone healthy, we won't play umpteen guys at the 4 anyway), but Exum will definitely play significant minutes (15+) given health IMHO. Maybe Mudiay doesn't, depends on where they use Dante. To start the season, I wouldn't be surprised if Dante is rested every once in a while, even when ruled healthy.

You can put down all your money on Conley, Mitchell, Bojan, and Gobert playing 30+. Ingles will hopefully be below that minute threshold but he’s bound to be 5th in average minutes.

It’s gonna be PF-by-committee, sure, but Green is gonna start and will likely be in a restricted 3nD role, with the backup minutes mostly coming from Bojingles and Royce. Davis is likely only playing special teams as a “4”.

Bradley isn’t gonna play at all and Mudiay will barely play imo. Maybe not at all.

I think Mudiay will get more than the typical end of the bench minutes, unless another PG is signed. He's effectively the 3rd PG, and they've always got a fair amount of minutes every season I can remember.

And while I hope this is the year that Exum stays healthy and becomes a solid player, there's always the chance he gets hurt.

Or Jazz can easily slide Donovan to the 1 when Conley sits and O'Neale comes in. You can have a 3-man rotation with those guys. Then Bojan-Ingles get all the mins at the 3, with Bojan at the 4 when they're in the line-up together.

But I think 9-10 players will get regular minutes through Feb. Then rotations tighten for the final playoff push and Jazz vie for home court advantage for Rd 1 and hopefully Rd 2. Going to be a fight for the first 4 or 5 seeds.

I would think it will be more than that. You can't play a full season with 9-10 guys. 11-13 will get real minutes until April, I don't think we'll go playoff rotation until the playoffs.

I think Mitchell will get the most minutes though I can see Snyder sitting Rudy in the 2nd half once we're kicking the crap out of the other team, which will be more often next season.

I look forward to comparing our record with less than 48 hours rest between games to this season - we should crush it; not only because we're better and deeper but because we won't have to rely on the starters as much and there will be less fatigue.

Yes, Zanik has to go with his bosses decision man come on. Snyder doesn't like Exum has to just work with what he has.

Is it possible for you to stop talking out your arse?

There certainly has been real tough love towards Dante, but there is absolutely zero chance that Snyder doesn't like Dante and he actually does want him to succeed. I mean, you can face the truth or not, up to you, but they have faith in Dante, and that extends to Quin.

Obviously Snyder wants his players to succeed if he didn't he wouldn't be a good coach. He feels bad when Dante gets hurt but would he want Dante to be ahead of where he is now , I think that strongly. Dante thus far hasn't showed much

Bud, stop talking on other peoples' behalf. Just don't do it.

'Snyder doesn't like 'Exum' - get outta here with that nonsense.

If you're going to argue something, don't bring in fake bullshiet, just makes your point less validated.

As it stands now, you're bringing your own narcissism into the narrative, onto somebody(Snyder) that you have no factual evidence for.
