No, that is the perception no doubt. And prices are still high, even though inflation itself has flattened out. It doesn't mean prices have come down, they are just staying at a steady high rate. So everyone is feeling it, absolutely. But you have to admit that the right constantly spewing crap about the bad things as propaganda has a negative impact on perceptions even on the things that are going good or getting better, such as inflation coming down, nearly full employment everywhere, etc. Just like if you tell a kid often enough that he is a bad person, he will come to believe it regardless of the truth.

So it is a mixed bag at best. But perception is their reality, that is how it works. Regardless if it is driven by data or propaganda. It is how people feel, and that is real enough.
