What's new

Welcome to Election Day 2024,

Do you know that happens when more money is in peoples pockets? They spend more. Do you know what happens when people spend more? Demand goes up and supply goes down. Do you know what happens when demand goes up and supply goes down? Prices go up.

If the amount of money outweighs heavily the prices going up it will work out.

You would never say what? That trump vilifies people? You don't have to. I already know that is factual. I literally provided the evidence.

Dude relax, you keep putting stuff in my mouth I didn’t say. Trump does vilify people I literally just said some of those were bangers.

That's the thing though, it can't. That isn't how it works.

Companies will charge what they can get people to pay.

Ok, so you would never say what then? What did that statement mean?

Groceries have gone up but let’s not act like people will pay $10 for a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk.

I fully support that move, and I certainly hope he raises corporate taxes to offset the revenue loss from that move. We have already cut corporate taxes and tax on the rich so far down that we run a permanent budget deficit. Something has to be done to offset these cuts. You can't cut taxes forever and expect to be able to run the government. That's highly irresponsible and reckless. I hope enough people in Congress and the Senate recognize this and promote responsible tax increases to offset the lost tax revenue.
How about if we make the government more efficient and cut out government waste, fraud, and abuse? That alone would make it so we could cut taxes. I can’t believe you want to pay more in taxes into a system that isn’t listening to you or doing anything to help you. There is something like 400 government agencies! We’re at a pace of creating two agencies a year since our country was founded. The US government is the biggest and most powerful organization that ever existed and it was never intended to be anything near that. The government went awry a long time ago.

Took my daughter to school today. A kid in the line named Austin says to me "trump is our newly elected president" and I said yep he is and he "I'm feeling pretty sad about that" and I told him it will be ok.

Hopefully when I go to school in a half hour to do recess duty the mentality of the kids there will be ok. I will try my best to alleviate their anxiety as best I can like always.

What grade?

What grade?
3rd
The school is pre school through 5th.

To be honest I doubt there will be very many effected by the election (I hope not) but trump has really increased the amount of time Americans spend on politics and I'm worried it trickles down to their kids.

I make it point to never discuss politics when my daughter is around. She has no idea how I feel about trump. She knows that trump and Kamala were running for president but she doesn't care about either one. I'm hoping that's how it is with most kids.
