Tyler Herro has agreed to a contract renegotiation freeing up $15 million in cap space for my team and I select Buddy Hield for $9,219,512
Ha ha! I already saw your now deleted post that you were just joking, and that you selected Drew Timme. To be fair, I’ve never heard of him but I looked him up and he’s an actual player. For $1 million, I guess that works.

I had a dream last night that me and Thee were talking on the phone about this draft and just shooting the **** about sports in general.
He was a really cool guy and fun to talk to. I enjoyed our conversation

Crunching done. Can't afford DeRozan. But I'll take:

Tre Jones ($8,000,000)
I like Tre Jones as a steady point guard off the bench. Nothing fancy, but he can score a bit, pass a bit, and defend a bit. Also thought about Conley here.
Depth Chart
PG - White / Jones
SG - Powell /
SF - Murphy / Risacher
PF - Giannis / Eason
Center - JJJ / Allen

Current Salary - 211 mil

Shot Blocking:
His primary strength is rim protection, where he uses his athleticism, length, and timing to block shots effectively, often by going straight up and disrupting attempts at the rim

Versatility:
Beyond just blocking shots, Lively can switch onto perimeter players in ball screens, providing valuable defensive flexibility for the team

Mobility and Length:
His 7'5" wingspan and ability to move quickly allow him to cover ground effectively, contest shots, and deter opponents from driving to the basket.

Defensive Awareness:
Lively demonstrates strong defensive instincts and the ability to read plays, which contributes to his impact beyond just his physical tools

Impact on Team Defense:

His presence in the paint significantly impacts the opponent's offensive effectiveness near the rim, making him a deterrent and a significant reason for the Dallas Mavericks' defensive improvements
