What's new

Well Game 1 coaching fail for Ty

At least Ty tried the big line up.

Coach Ty has some hard decisions sitting in front of him. I think he will figure it out.

I think we should go with the big line up right off the bat and get San Antonio on their heels. We got to throw the first punch. We have to be the agressorrs. I really think we can beat them. Our guys will settle in and settle down, and we will play better. Oncr Ty puts the correct line ups together

ahlfway through the 3rd down 13.

also in a thread is aid jazz should start that lineup

You are correct, however, that was still the highest +/- of any of our starters. Which is why +/- doesn't really mean much. Josh was terrible today.

Right. But he also played half the minutes of the other starters so it's not surprising he has a lower +-. I agree he was terrible. My post was responding to a guy claiming Howard was a +16.

I think Howard sucks and would rather see the Jazz just start Millsap Favors and Al together. Carrol isn't the answer and neither is Howard or Bell.

Ty to me is a guy trying to make his way, and at the same time shed his Jerry Sloan protege skin. He is a lot like Jerry. But I see a guy trying to find ways to break out with his own style. I dont think Jerry would play the big 3. I do think Jerry would have played Josh Howard too. Naturally Ty tried it Jerry's way first. But He is going to say F this. Im going with what I think.

Jazz win game 2 surprise everybody.

I admit I made that stat up. I was to lazy to look it up my self so I had one of my internet cronies do it for me.

thanks crony. :)

I don't see us winning but I do agree Ty is trying to find his way. And he is playing the young guys while trying to win the games. It's hard to fault the guy for that,

Starting Lineup should be our big lineup with Kanter, Carroll/Howard, Burks, Tinsley coming of the bench. They have to take advantage of Favors in the paint, and if he's guarding the Red Rocket, they can't do that: solution = start Favors, sub Millsap with about 4:00 minutes left, and then bring Millsap in towards the start of the second quarter, or Play Hayward on the Red Rocket since he can do nothing but shoot the three ball.

there is no way to get past first round without great PG, especialy with that kind of young team as ours.

Harris failed, bad Defence on TP9 and he does not run a team, can shoot can pass, but he can't run a team like PG.

he is quite good player and if he could accept backing role i will not trade him but otherway he is to expensive as back up

we need diferent style of playmaking next year.

Playoff experience is as much for Corbin as it is for the young players. I'm very interested in what decisions he'll make. I wasn't at all upset about starting Howard for Game 1. Can't afford to be too patient in the playoffs (can't afford to have no patience, either).

So who's the "great" PG that we need next year? Who should we sign?

cool story.

I'm just waiting for Ty Corbin to show some damn common sense.

Has there ever been a time where our BIG 3 hasn't done good things?

Has there ever been a time when Josh Howard actually did something good?

Game, set, match....

Common sense would indicate that we need a lot more Big 3 and a lot less Howard. Most folks noticed this about halfway through our season. I guess Ty is just a lil behind the times....

While we need a passing point guard (Marshall), I dont see how he would be any better at D then Harris. Harris got burned almost every play leading to open 3's, dunks and layups from Parker himself.

Not a fan of Carroll playing at all, but over Howard.....mmmm yeah. Carroll is a scrub, but still playing better than Josh.
Horrible move by Corbin. Howard is playing like ****.

Josh did get the first rebound and the first loose ball for the Jazz of the game, and the Jazz did start out decent.

I disagreed with starting JH so soon back from injury again, but I don't blame him for the loss.
