I was expecting that too, which was why I was surprised to see him at 9 on the lottery machine.

isn't their 3pt line closer to the rim tho? i heard somehwhere that a lot of scouts actually kind of look very closely at the player as a shooter, rather than just %s in cases like this. some good shooters are just great shooters because of their technique and whatnot. others become good by practicing and developing very specific spots. for those who are closer to the latter, this actually hurts them in the NBA. cuz they've become accustomed to being good at and being used to shootng from a spot that is right INSIDE the 3pt line in the NBA. this is often called the worst shot in basketball, cuz it's the furthest you can shoot from the basket without gettin an extra point--the long distance 2. very very few guys have gotten elite at this and made a living out of these shots (best case being dirk nowitzki) but for most others its a curse. not sayin its the case here, just sayin.

I think it might be, but it is further out than the college 3-point line, so I don't think it would be much of a problem. One reason Herzonja is a good shooter is that he is able to get up high and have a high release, it's also pretty quick as well. I love the guys athleticism as well.

I think he would, he's a young guy and young guys usually don't get a whole lot of minutes overseas. And I mean who wouldn't want to play with The Stifle Tower.

Just an observation, but maybe if you bothered to watch the video you quoted, it would have made your post obsolete, as the video clearly shows him hitting from everywhere, including several shots that were Jimmeresque.
After watching the first set of highlights, what I liked and disliked:
Liked - his athletic ability, jump shot and his ability to get to the rim and finish. A few of those plays he just blew by guys and then dunked it. Also he had a few nice steals and a block. So it seems that if he wants to he has the physical tools to play defense (something that Kanter lacked).
Disliked - waving off guys to go one on one. Now in certain situations I am ok with this because it means he isn't afraid to take the big shot but it can be a sign of selfishness if he is doing it often. In the highlights I saw him do it twice so it only makes me thing the selfish label should be a consideration in evaluating him. However, I also watched his interaction with his teammates and it seemed as though he was engaged with them and they responded back. There was no aloofness at least on these highlights. Again this concern is tough to evaluate especially from some highlights.
I would be excited to have a dynamic scoring on the Jazz. The Jazz need to have a few players who can get their own shot when things break down. Right now the Jazz have Hayward and Burke. Burks certainly can too but it would be nice to have a guy who can help Hayward on the scoring end.
I personally don't think he will be there at 9 but I would be just fine with him talent wise and as long as there are no major red flags in his personally, I would love it if the Jazz drafted him.
