Wesley Matthews

Didn't make the trip to Golden State because of a sore achilles. Maybe we got rid of him in the nick of time. Sounds like Portland is going to cut Patty Mills. He got his first preseason action 8 minutes 3 points 2 board 1 TO and zero assists. Perfect point guard.

Why the hell do we always need threads about injuries of old jazz players....or people saying we got rid of them in the knick of time?

Matthews is Brandy Roy's achilles heel.

I was wondering what had happened. He played 4 mins one game, then had a DNP. Looks like he saved his best for us. On the one hand, I'd like for him to have a great season. On the other, I HATE Portland almost as much as I hate the Lakers, just because they've tried to screw us two years in a row and because of the Darius Miles incident, threatening to take teams to court.

Since they're a division rival and I don't want them having a shot at a top-3 pick, here's hoping the Blazers are just good enough to get in as the 8th seed.

Let me get this straight;

1. Because Matthews has a sore achilles, he's finished as an NBA player at the age of... 24? And it's relevant?
2. The Jazz should sign a 5th PG?

1. Yes. It's clear that all he wanted was a big contract. Now he follows Boozer's MO.
2. Why not. Let's pick up another PG before Minny corners the market. Besides, with DWill missing games with a little tweak and then not wanting to play against Tyreke for "personal reasons," it won't be long before he lands in Sloan's dog house and is then traded, a la Arroyo.

Why would you acknowledge his statement? You're better than that.

Although I never like hearing about any player getting hurt (except Kobe). I do find it funny that every player that left the Jazz last year is sitting out right now with an injury

The powers of ole Jer are transcendent and extend far beyond Salt Lake, eh, Ben?

I hear-tell that Sloan done been to Louisiana and got his self a mojo hand.

Uhh, cause we like to earn unsigned negative rep from the leotard wearing playground pimp.

"Gimme that lollipop lil' momma, or Ima smack you with my throwback He-Man action figure."

Aint sure who you're quotin, there, Frank, or where the line come from, but Imma steals it. I likes it! I likes the leotard-wearin playground pimp part too. Good work!

If we can cut Price Id take Patty Mills. Dwill the superstar, Watson the vet, and Mills the young talent.

Please use sparingly. It took me four hours of sitting here at work on my head to come up with that. I'm just now getting over the brain stress of it all. Sadly, it's my masterpiece.

Not True. Boom B. played 10 minutes for Minnesota on Sunday.

well Memo's still around, and Deron has his little sprain, or strain or pull or whatever, so it's not as if all the injuries have been exported anyhow

Jazz ain't gonna cut Price and sign Mills. Price has a guranteed K and Sloan is loyal. Mills will be with the Idaho Stampede for awhile this year.
