What does the GSW trade do for the draft pick they owe us?

What does this mean to the jazz? (Can vote for multiple answers)

I did becasue I was not aware he was out.
Well, he's out until AT LEAST April with a back injury and some reports have said he's likely done for the season. In any case, he'd be so out of shape if/when he's cleared to play that there's little chance the W's would bring him in for just a few games.

I was looking at some of the number too. And I think Golden State has a chance at giving us there pick

What do you think GlassEater

The derivative of x2, with respect to x, is 2x. However, suppose we write x2 as the sum of x x's, and then take the derivative:

Let f(x) = x + x + ... + x (x times)

Then f'(x) = d/dx[x + x + ... + x] (x times)
= d/dx[x] + d/dx[x] + ... + d/dx[x] (x times)
= 1 + 1 + ... + 1 (x times)
= x

This argument appears to show that the derivative of x2, with respect to x, is actually x. Where is the fallacy?

If you don't know where your fallacy is, I'm not going to tell you. That job belonged to your parents when you hit puberty. :)

Where did you get those numbers? EVen if you calculated solely on the loss column, Sacramento only has 6 more losses (not counting tonight's game), as does Detroit.

BTW, you add the games ahead in the win column plus the games ahead in the loss column and divide by 2 to calculate "games back." If you only do it based on losses, you're assuming the team with fewer games played will win ALL those games, which is clearly not the case - especially when talking about teams playing at a .400 clip. Currently GS has a 4 1/2 game lead over Sacramento and 4 game lead over Detroit. Let's hope the Warriors can play a solid 4th quarter against Sacramento. Crap...I hope I didn't just jinx them.

You are correct sir. I totally guesstimated on these numbers since I didn't want to calculate them all, taking into account games played, win, losses etc. I just tried to give as good as an estimate as I could in the shortest amount of time possible while throwing out "approximately" as my safety net. Oh, and by the way, Warriors are destroying the Kings as I write this. Only 27 games left!

With Bogut out, i can see GSW tanking the rest of the season....BOOOOOO!

All i know, is that the bucks possibly have the biggest "chucker's unite" backcourt now.

It's bad news. Twice. Now I'm more on the win-now bandwagon for the Warriors because they will be much improved next year even without even considering that they might keep the pick.

LOL.. FINALLY! Wasn't it only yesterday you wanted them to keep losing??

So Locke thinks this is a win for the Jazz because Ellis is a high possesion user who performs below league average (think Jefferson)
After the win against Sacto today....it's got me wondering.

After seeing those picks of the Warrior brass speaking with Jackson and Lee, I think GS will start losing some games.

Also how does the Mike D'Antoni resignation impact the GSW pick?

Either Milwaukee or NY will get that last playoff spot (and the 15th pick). The other will probably not finish worse than GS. Without the trade, I was projecting W's safely in the 8-9 range (counting on Cleveland and Milwaukee to pass them up). Now I'd say they'll finish in the 6th-8th slot.
