Just curious.

Let's assume two teams are the main teams in the Westbrook lottery: Boston and LA Lakers.

Boston Assets:
Marcus Smart
Jaylen Brown
2017 Brooklyn 1st Rounder
2018 Brooklyn 1st Rounder
2019 Clippers Lottery Protected 1st Rounder
2019 Memphis 1st Round Top 8 Protected
They dont have their 1st round pick this year as they will swap it with Brooklyn

Lakers Assets:
Julius Randle
Brandon Ingram
DeAngelo Russell
Ivicia Zubac
Dont own their pick this year unless it's in top 3
Dont own 2019 1st rounder

Then there is us....

Jazz Assets:
Rodney Hood
Dante Exum
Trey Lyles
Rudy Gobert
2017 Golden State 1st Rounder
2018 Lottery Protected OKC 1st Rounder (though they would have no interest in this because if they go into full tank mode, they will likely never convey us a 1st round pick as it will be lottery protected until 2020 when we will get two 2nd round picks in 2020 and 2021 if we don't get the 1st rounder by 2020.)

I only listed 1st round picks and players on rookie contracts. I assume OKC would want to full rebuild and get players they can control in RFA while they suck for 2-3 years.

How is Brooklyn relinquishing their 1st two seasons in a row? That's not possible per the CBA.

Part 2 of the question: What do you think Boston would offer? What do you think LA would offer?

I read reports that LA doesnt want to trade, thinking they can sign him, but LA FO has clearly been delusional about these things in years past and I bet the succumb to the pressure of actually getting a star. If they lose him to Boston, no way they sign him.

OKC would ask for Gobert, Hood and a couple firsts probably. Thing is, the market for Westbrook will soften dramatically once he announces where he's willing to re-sign.

He'll make a list of like 3 or 4 teams he's willing to re-sign with, and that will be it. Whatever those 3 or 4 teams can bid will basically be the market for him. Hence, OKC may not be able to get as much as they want in return.

The trade could go three-way or four-way like the Dwight Howard trade from Orlando to LA. Bynum went from LA to Philly? Denver got involved and sent Afflalo to Orlando. I don't think Orlando got a big haul.
