I would like an older experienced vet player that can be an average starting pg for this team. He could contribute a lot and then back up Dante when he gets back.

totally agree .. who though ??

Personally, I'm not 100% sold on Dante as a starter...yet. So a vet on a 2-yr contract would work. Dante should have to win the starting job because he's proved he's an NBA starter, not because he sucks less than the other PG's on the roster.

well not the way he was playing last year ... this would assume progression in his play

How many wins would the Jazz get with Jeff Teague at PG?? Enough to make the playoffs?

Teague...better than Cotton or Neto? That's an easy question to answer.
Lot of factors, but I'd guess Teague as the starter and Burke as the backup should give Utah 50 wins and a spot in the playoffs.

I don't know much about his injury or recovery, but if he's expected to be ready to start the season (or at least shortly after), B.Jennings would be worth taking a chance on. I wouldn't give up too much in order to acquire him as his health is a question mark, he's on an expiring contract, & I'm not sure how well he would fit with the rest of the team, but he was starting to breakout before the injury & could be available at a reasonable price due to the R.Jackson extension with DET. I'd still prefer A.Bradley due to fit, defense, & contract situation, but (if healthy) Jennings would undoubtedly be a significant upgrade over what we currently have. Unless asking prices are too steep, I hope we are able to find a way to upgrade at PG as Exum's injury (as unfortunate as it is) has given us the opportunity to see what our starting 5 would be capable of with a starting caliber PG in it & actual depth behind it. We finished 19-10 while essentially playing 4 on 5 offensively & filling out nearly half of our roster with fringe NBA/D-League caliber talent, imagine how successful this team could be with just an average starting caliber PG.
