My guess is Ty gets extended. Mostly because I want him so badly to be fired and the universe has it out for me recently.
Jazz have made the Millers over a BILLION dollars. They aren't going anywhere. You guys forget that the Millers OWN the ESA. So, they make all the profits off it. When Miley Cyrus strips on stage? Millers make money. When Disney Princesses skate on ice, they make money. They won't get that deal anywhere else. Also, they NEED the Jazz, so they can fund their "fun" projects, like that racetrack. They don't get the race track if they move the team anywhere.
Finally, if the NBA wouldn't let Sac leave, they won't let the Millers leave either.
The Utah
Good and valid arguments green. But it doesn't change how they will handle the Ty Corbin situation. Greg wouldn't be the first son who inherited, to ruin the family business with wrong decisions. They always want to cut their own path. But i concede that you make some good points. Greed may yet win the day. But i believe we will be putting up with our dissatisfaction with Ty for a good while yet.
If the Jazz have to lose every game the rest of the way, it would be better than retaining Corbin ... keeping him dooms the Jazz to long-term mediocrity, at best, and probably loss of the Core4, who will want to leave as soon as their contract obligations end -- as we can see from what is happening with Hayward. Favors signed only because he probably can't get a better offer.
You don't think Parker would dominate out of Corbin's version of Strong Motion? You're probably the only person on the planet.

I just don't know that the Jazz gain anything by firing him. Why fire him just to put in an interim coach? Why fire him and put in a "good" coach that could derail the tank?
Unless they need to ship him out in order to land their dream coach right now I just don't see it. But I also don't see them being so delusional that they think he's their long-term answer. He had an assignment and he failed.
The Miller Family believes that an NBA Coach is a life time calling just like a Prophet for the Church is a life time calling. Corbin Will live as long as Gordon B Hinkley did, well into his late 90's establishing him self as the longest NBA head coach of all time only to become resurrected in the twinkling of an eye and continue as head coach through the Millennium setting a new all-time record as the longest coach of any sport in the history of mankind. Just think how good the Jazz can be with over 1000 years of top 4 picks.
