I'm guessing no one corrected this because they thought it would be a waste of time? This was a reboot so the "First 1-3" Spider-Man with Tobey Maguire have nothing to do with this Amazing Spiderman rebooot. I'm also guessing you didn't enjoy them that much since you got the main actors name wrong.
Also this reboot IMO is WAY better then the the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man not that I had in issue with him just overall better and more true to the comics with the love interest and what happens to her at the end of Amazing Spiderman 2. Although to bad since Ema Stone is kinda hot and seemed a natural to play Mary Jane Watson since she has red hair.

Go look at Rottentomatoes which is usually pretty good indication of movies' rating. It's usually as objectives as it comes in terms of movies' reviews/ratings go:

Yes, that scene was really terrifying. Spider-man 3 overall was bad.

That's the whole point - he was supposed to be this dorky dude who never got the girl, and had this great gig in his 'other life' but STILL couldn't get the girl.


On that black thing - that's part of the plot, it wasn't Tobey's fault he got infected with that.


This new Spider-man guy's just too cool for school for me... just doesn't seem like a real dude. I dunno bro, may be the reason Tobey's version resonate with viewers is because most people were a bit goofy and dorky in high school and they can somehow relate to that character.

I went into this spider man thinking "is it possible to botch another one of these and make it even more unbearable?". I left saying "yup". Spiderman needs some Speilburg -- if I google to find he produce one then I lose all faith in humanity.
