What's The Last Movie You’ve Seen?

Yeah he did mention the book was pretty good, I'll have to read it

I just watched Gattaca for the first time. Really dug it, talk about a movie ahead of its time, I can see why many people consider it underrated. What a cast, solid story throughout. If i did have a critique is the reveal felt like too much of a coinicidence. But yeah I really liked it and glad I finally watched it.

What was the reveal? I forget. Loved the score in it. Quite powerful.

One of the two guys investigating the murder turns out to be his brother, and than they go have the same swim which we saw them do as kids earlier in the film.
Just felt a bit too much coincidental.

Watched Joker.

About 40 minutes in l realized l saw the movie about 30 years ago. Only then it was called The King of Comedy and it was much better.

I mean, Phillips has made it clear Joker is based off of and pays homage to TKoC. Heck, it’s how he got Deniro.

King of comedy? Like that movie with Cedric the entertainer, Bernie Mac, dl hugley, and Steve Harvey? Great great movie (one of my favorites) but I don't think it was like the joker movie at all

Ha! My buddy (also white) and I saw that in a theater on the edge of Trenton when it came out. We were the only white people in the audience I think. Funny. I thought Hughley was meh.

That's pretty cool that you and your buddy went to see it in Trenton. I don't think I would have had the balls lol

I absolutely LOVED it back in the day. It hasn't aged very well for me though. Last time I watched it (a few years ago) it just wasn't the same anymore.

Yep those three and DL hugley.
I thought all of them we quite funny and I actually thought hugley was the funniest back in the day.
I had them ranked 1. Hugley. 2. Bernie. 3. Cedric (he was really 2 a. Had a good set) and 4 was Steve Harvey (too much talk about old school music)

When I watched it me recently I thought Bernie was the best then Cedric then hugley and then Harvey but all 4 weren't as funny as I remembered.
I was high pretty much all the time back when I was first watching it so that probably explains it.
