When Mo Williams is your big free agent signing.

You know your team is screwed. We cleared all that cap space. We have extra money. We have no 1 crappy 2nd round draft pick. What do we do? Sign an average point guard and trade our average point guard... I am sorry but hoping guys will turn into big time players is not a good strategy. We have money we should be out there going after guys. And Al Jeffersuck was exposed last year. The guy cannot play anything close to anything resembling defense. Is that really the plan? If so I think KOC should be fired. He is just trying to be good enough to make the playoffs and never really considers trying to compete for a title. /endrant

Where is this magical extra money that you think the Jazz have?

It was hilarious to read when a few guys here were praising KOC, calling him super aggressive and all that for making these moves. If you know the Jazz these are your quintessential on-par Jazz moves. Its not like these moves would not have happened at all in the previous seasons. And also by claiming that letting go of Mo Williams was "his biggest mistake" KOC made a pre-emptive strike, because he as well as others know that there were a bunch of other mistakes as big as this if not bigger. Letting go of Mo meant Deron eventually and Deron > Mo. And its not like as if Mo became a legit perennial all star after he left the Jazz. He's had a solid but unspectacular career.

First of all, Mo Williams was not a free agent signing, we traded the Memo TPE for him. Secondly, we don't actually have tons of cap space right now like you claim--that's next summer.

Trading for Mo and Marvin makes us better in the present, without totally screwing with the future; both their contracts expire after this season (though, Marvin can come back if he wants), so we'll still have tons of salary coming off the books after next season that will allow us to sign free agents then, and allow us to start working on extensions for Favors and Hayward.

KOC is doing what needs to be done.

When someone criticises KOC's moves, but doesn't know the difference between "free agent signing" and "acquired in trade", and thinks we're under the cap when we are over the cap, I find it hard to take them seriously.

This guy,

lol. Marvin Williams, look at that name. Overshadowed by Johnson, Horford, and Smith, Marvin Williams was pretty legit.

This Jazz offense (Again, Get rid of Tyrone), if ran right could do wonders. Los Angeles, though driven through power, all star players I feel has/had a great scheme to run an offense through All Star players. Shaq/Kobe. Potentially on Jazzfanz Hayward and Favors would be ours. And I can go with that. Hayward is getting knowledge on the practice squad. Favors, same. These guys could bring us back a tag team never seen in a Jazz uniform. Mo Williams, the dude was a point that was packing LeBrons 1-2. Don't underestimate the past, he had to grind to where he got in Cleveland. He was basically just doing clean up work with Los Angeles, being their 3 point threat.

Utah Jazz has a VERY Unorthodox team, and given if Corbin can handle the loads of potential that he has to carry on his back could create an offense that is with the likes of Scott Brooks. WE GOT A TEAM. Devin Harris was showing he was WASHED UP AT 28 LAST YEAR. He increased his stats, and play in the 2nd half of the season, but the dude still made you cringe because you knew of how bad he was playing. Devin Harris was playing like Howard Eisley the beginning of this season. Thats just downright horrible.

Is it just me or anyone else does expect a move from KOC until 18th of July?

Yes it's just me because I'm the only one who puts pink glasses on. "We made our 2 big moves."

I've just posted this on another thread in General NBA. I guess this is the right place.

To hell with all you nay sayers. Go Jazz! We all wanted moves well now we got them. I am willing to give this "new" team a chance to see how it does.

Well said. May this thread now disappear into oblivion.

I bolded the lone part of your post I somewhat agree with. But Jazz ownership wouldn't fire him for that as it is commonly believed that KOC is doing what ownership wants. But you're pretty much wrong about everything else.
